Description

The RPM Q2 is the launch model of RPM’s new Q Series, developed in collaboration with legendary paddle engineer and reviewer, John Kew.

Engineered as a refined full-foam performance paddle, the Q2 was built to deliver a more powerful and predictable response across the face. The Q2 balances controlled aggression, accessible power, and long-term durability.

At its core, the Q2 refines full-foam construction through strategic material tuning. By manipulating foam density, firmness, and rebound characteristics in targeted areas of the paddle, the Q2 delivers enhanced torsional stability, broader forgiveness, and a firm, connected feel preferred by high-level players.

The result is a paddle designed for competitors who value elite power, stability on off-center contact, and predictable performance from baseline drives to fast-paced kitchen exchanges.

What's inside the RPM Q2The technology, in plain English

CarbonBite Surface

RPM LABS' FRICTION CarbonBite surface is built for grit and spin β€” heavy topspin, biting slices and controlled rolls, without giving up durability.

Multi-Zone Hybrid Core

A fully molded EPP foam core with 3mm groove channels molded in, not cut after β€” controlled flex with no hot spots or dead zones across the face.

TPU & TPE Inserts

TPU inserts at 9 and 3 o'clock add stability and widen the sweet spot. TPE in the neck dampens vibration and lowers the balance point for quicker hands.

Axial Carbon Layup

A patent-pending carbon fiber layup that spreads flex evenly across the face, for a more consistent response from the top of the paddle to the bottom.

From the Hometown team

Our take

“Carbon face, tuned foam core, pro-level approval β€” that combination is why the Q2 shows up in advanced and competitive players' bags as often as it does in ours.”

FAQ About the Q2 Series

What is the difference between the 14mm and 16mm?
The 14mm offers more pop off the face for more power on drives, counters, and put aways. The 16mm adds dwell time for shot shaping, resets, and heavy top spin shots.

You should get the 14mm if you want to play more aggressive and power through your opponents.

You should get the 16mm if you want a more balanced feel and playstyle while still having the raw power the Q2 offers.
Elongated vs Widebody vs Hybrid β€” which one should I get?
Elongated: Built for players who want to get the most power out of their paddle. Trading off a little size of the sweet spot allows you to generate more power on drives, putaways and resets. Most often recommended for more experienced players.

Hybrid: Specifically built for players who want the best of both worlds. Both hybrid options blend the size of the sweet spot from the widebody with the power on drives from the elongated.

Widebody: Built for players looking for a little more forgiveness and quick hand speed making it a strong option for doubles players. Whether you are hitting resets through the transition zone or battling opponents in hands battles the wide body is built for it all.
How does the warranty work?
Every RPM Q2 is backed by RPM's Limited Lifetime Warranty, ensuring your paddle is protected against manufacturing defects for the life of the product. Built with premium materials and engineered for long-term performance, the Q2 is designed to maintain its structural integrity and playability over time.

Warranty claims are handled by the manufacturer, and each brand sets its own terms. If you believe that your paddle has a warranty issue, reach out to warranty@rpmpb.com to start a claim.
