Dylan Frazier's signature CMD paddle
The CMD HYB is Volair's new signature paddle for top pro Dylan Frazier, and it follows the SHIFT as Volair's next full-foam build. It's a 16mm hybrid shape with a floating EPP foam core and a T700 carbon fiber face finished in Volair's licensed HexGrit™ texture.
What's different about it
- Channel Core. Volair cuts channels into the foam core so the face flexes more where the ball makes contact. Volair says this increases dwell time.
- HexGrit™ surface. A hexagonal grit texture applied to the carbon face. Volair positions it as holding its spin longer than a standard peel-ply raw carbon face, which wears smooth with use.
- Floating foam core with EVA. Full floating EPP foam with Volair's patent-pending engineered flex, plus EVA foam. That puts it in the Gen 4 foam-core category.
- Hybrid shape, 16mm. 16.25" long and 7.75" wide with a 5.6" handle. It sits between an elongated and a widebody paddle, and at 7.85 oz with a 111 swing weight it's on the lighter, quicker side.
