Honolulu Crystal Blue Endurance Surface: J2CR vs. J6CR

Honolulu's CR series has been one of our strongest performers this year, and the J2CR and J6CR are the two paddles customers ask us to compare most. Both share the same core technology — Dynamic PowerFlex and Control Joint construction — but the shape difference changes how each one plays.

J2CR: The Hybrid

The J2CR Crystal Blue Endurance Surface runs Honolulu's Aero Hybrid Plus shape — their attempt at combining the power of an elongated paddle with the control of a standard shape. It's their most powerful paddle with the most pop in the lineup, while still aiming for smooth, predictable control. Average weight runs 8.0-8.3oz with a swing weight of 110-114.

J6CR: The Elongated

The J6CR Crystal Blue Endurance Surface builds on the J2's long-handle shape but extends the face further, with a chopped top aero curve that shifts more mass toward the head. Same overall dimensions (16.48" x 7.52"), but the added head-heavy mass means a higher swing weight (114-120) and more raw power on drives, while Honolulu says they preserved the J2's signature control.

Which One Should You Get?

  • J2CR if you want the most balanced, hybrid feel in the lineup — power without the paddle feeling head-heavy.
  • J6CR if you're comfortable with more mass in the head and want to maximize power on your drives and put-aways, especially if you already like an elongated shape.

Both come in Honolulu's Crystal Blue Endurance Surface — a crystal-infused texture process built for long-term durability and consistent spin, not just a look. Both have been popular enough that they run through stock quickly between restocks, so text us if the one you want shows limited availability and we'll let you know when more arrives.
